However, we don't talk about it as much for the men. Why is that? Perhaps it's the stereotypes, perhaps we as a generation don't think they need it or maybe we just haven't thought of it yet. I find in my practice when a man grows his self love, just like when anyone else does, everyone benefits. Let's encourage everyone to find their self love! I have become a Board Certified-TeleMental Health Provider. What does that mean? It means that I am trained and certified to provide online counseling. It also means that I can provide services to anyone in NYS and not be limited to only people that can make it to the office. I will be working on expanding my practice across the state!<br />

I really enjoyed this exercise. At first it is always easy to think of what went wrong. Some days I had to dig deep to find some positives in my day. But as the week went on, it got easier. <li>I just did some journaling and it helped me get some clarity on some decisions I need to make</li>
<li>I had an awesome day at work yesterday. I saw 9 clients and they all are working so hard and making really good progress</li>

Unfortunately, the human brain tends to focus more heavily on the bad experiences, while forgetting or discounting the good experiences. For example, we're more likely to remember one awkward social interaction over hundreds of normal interactions.<br />
<br />
Making a point to recognize positive experiences-no matter how small-can help to improve mood. Practice by recording three positive events at the end of each day.<br />

I liken it to, you only appreciate your good health when you are sick. One needs to draw upon their <span style="font-family: "courier new" , "courier" , monospace;"><b>Inner Strength</b></span> when something is difficult. For example, when I went through a 14 hour surgery/recovery, boy did I need some <span style="font-family: "courier new" , "courier" , monospace;"><b>Inner Strength</b></span>. Then today, in my Yoga class with <a href="https://www.facebook.com/dianelaylin?fref=nf">Diane Laylin MacDonald</a> She talked about Building Inner Strength. She gave 4 tips (reprinted with her permission):<br />

<li>Cultivate an attitude of Acceptance.</li>
<li>Create a Success Practice-recall at the end of each day your successes and honor yourself</li>

It really started in 2015 when I had major surgery and needed to dig deep. Now, facing other issues in my personal life, Fearless is screaming at me. Where do I get me comfort and courage?<br />
From a host of sources. I get it from my runs (Just accomplished a 5 mile run without stopping 2 days ago), taking good care of my health, from my meditations, my family, my friends, my children, my universe and from my inner guidance system. Jump on the Fearless Bus, you will be so much stronger!<br />

About one time a week I take my daughter and her friends for bagels before school starts. When we were on our way to getting back in the car, my daughter stopped and was messing with her phone. I started raising my voice, "Come on Rose, we have to get to school, we are going to be late, yadda, yadda." I soon realized that she stopped to catch a picture of the sunrise. I quickly changed my voice and said "Rose, I am so happy you took a second to capture the moment". </div>

Anxious?Many clients seek therapy because they have anxiety and they want relief. They just don't want those "bad" feelings any more. They just want to feel better.<br />

What is anxiety? Where does it come from? Why do people experience it?<br />
<br />
Not all anxiety is bad. Sometimes it motivates people. Sometimes people use it in their profession. For example, is someone is anxious it might motivate them to clean the house and get things done. Another person may use it in their job. Because of their anxious energy they can multi task, work with a lot of customers, get lots of projects done, etc.<br />
<br />
However, when it doesn't feel good and it's making your life worse, that is when you want to change things up. <br />
<br />
A therapist can teach you positive coping strategies. For example, positive self talk, refocusing your thoughts, meditation, exercise, etc. Sometimes people need medication combined with therapy (but that is not always the case). Most cases of anxiety can be treated with talk therapy that is combined with techniques. <br />

But in Vegas???Where do you get your inspiration? <br />

There are many things and people that inspire me. I love getting inspiration from none other than Facebook. I belong to all of these groups that post quotes, stories and pictures about the law of attraction, running, spirituality, etc. I get inspired by my clients. I learn from them all the time. People bare their soul and inner most thoughts and feelings with me. I treasure their trust in me and willingness to work hard on themselves and overcome their roadblocks. <br />
<br />
But this week, I am getting my inspiration from some place else. This week is my time to refill my bucket. I am in Las Vegas with my dear friend. We are going to play for a few days (spa, gamble, dinner/show, etc.). Then at the end of the week we will be scrapbooking for three days straight from morning to night! We will be with 300+ other scrapbookers with amazing inspirational teachers. The instructors here are the top teachers, but they do so much more. They share a piece of themselves and encourage everyone to be the best person that they can be. <br />

When I was in high school I would run around my block for exercise. I was not a very good runner when I played Field Hockey (hence, I was always put on defense). Just about a year ago I started running..... What a life changer!! This week I went at 6 am, the sun wasn't up yet, the roads were quite and the beautiful moon was still out. During my run I turned my life and my purpose over to the universe. I felt incredible inner peace. I know that the clients that I am seeing now are meant to be with me. I know in my heart that we are perfect matches and that I will be guided to give them the exact care that they need. Between my years of experience and skill, while guided by the universe, I am right where I am supposed to be and doing exactly what I am supposed to be doing. I am doing what I love: running in the morning and being the best social worker I can be! I am blessed.<br />

Really allowing the focus on health, and nourishment. When I am doing all sorts of tracking, measuring, and weighing, it makes me focus on trying to control it. Makes me think, how much more can I eat and it not effect my weight. How many calories can I get in ? What can I eat to fill this empty hole inside. Of which has nothing to do with my stomach or hunger but All to do with my heart and head.<br />

I just started a 30 Day LOA challenge. The challenge has you focusing on different things throughout the day. Before you go to bed, you read a "Segment intend the sleep and dream period". The passage states: "I believe I will dream tonight. I will manifest while I sleep, and if there is anything significant, I intend to recall it when I awaken" (paraphrased). So, before I went to sleep, I made my dream intentions. The next thing that happened was that in the middle of the night my 8 year old son came into my bed (this is the very usual part of the story), and he said to me, "Mom, I just had the best dream about you!" He just warmed my heart!!!<br />

This morning when I woke up I remembered that I had a dream about a shit tzu dog. They are my absolute favorite dog breed. In the dream the dog and I just adored each other. Someone in the dream said to me "Do you know how to take care of Shit Tzus?" I replied, "I sure do!" Years ago I had a shit tzu named Vickey. I wouldn't be surprised if it was her that came to visit me in my intended dream! <br />
